For this design, the intention was to create two different worlds. There is the rough industrial world of the school house, with wood flooring, bricks, and bars, compared to the natural world of early spring beyond the proscenium. The vines intrude upon the school, but the wood floors spread into the natural world as well. Moss crawls into the areas where people fall in love. The two worlds battle at every transition, much like the characters within the play battle between their school life and their natural raging hormones.
